It is 4wd, 200+ hours, it has a loader and 3pt blade. Is $4300 a decent price? I have 10 acres and we are getting ready to set up for a couple horses. Will this be enough tractor for us? I have a Craftsman GT5000 for yard work.

Thanks, Mark

I have a 1210 and it's a neat little tractor. I really like it a lot. It can do a lot heavier work than I expected. I don't have a loader, but even with a 4 foot box blade, it can do a tremendous amount of work. I'm very happy with it on my little place here. I have less than 2 acres but I'm sure that the 1210 could easily maintain 5 acres.

However, I think on 10 acres it would depend on what tasks you have in mind. I have a 4 foot rotary cutter, so it takes quite a bit longer to clear the weeds here than it does my neighbor, who has a larger machine with a 6 foot hog.

So your 1210 can indeed get the work done, but it may take longer than a larger machine.

I had a Ford 1100 with dual hydraulic dozer blade, 42" tiller, single bottom plow, and 48" rotary cutter to maintain the 7A's of open property for many years. The 1XXX series of Fords were tanks. If I had had a FEL on it I would probably still own it. I do miss not having it on occassion. And I agree with
"1210 can indeed get the work done, but it may take longer than a larger machine". I did have problems with deep snow and mud due to ground clearance, but I was always able to accomplish the task objective.

Tank is definintely the word.

I had a large FedEx delivery van get stuck in the sugar sand on my place. I told the driver that if he couldn't maneuver the rig out, that I'd pull him out with the Ford 1210. He scoffed.

After about 10 minutes of him making things worse, I fired up the little tractor, hooked up the chain and pulled that big van out like it was a sack of potatoes. Ya shoulda seen the look on that driver's face! Classic disbelief and shock. He was still muttering about it as he climbed up into his seat and drove off.

Yeah, bring a trailer. You'll be very happy with the 1210.

Post pix when you get it home! :trink39:

So the guy says he's having trouble selling his tractor. He says everybody wants to trade him something. So I tell him I have cash and I'm ready to buy if it runs right. He says to call him when I'm 20 minutes away, I have to drive an hour to get there. So I get 20 minutes out and call him...no answer. Text him, no answer...call his cell, no answer. 2 hours later he calls and says he just noticed my calls. He sold it to a guy that dropped by right after he told me to come out. What an @$$!! Now I'm actively shopping again...
