i searched but could not find a thread for pics. i don't have a gilson or a montgomery ward but i would like to see some because they look really cool. post away folks!

as per the usual MO on these kinds of threads, please post your pic, and the year, and model of the tractor...plus a description of any attachment (model #/size etc.) and any stories you might have on your tractor (how you acquired it, etc.)

Mine is a '71 Hydrostatic 14 hp. Not the original colors and the headlights are modern driving lights. Control knobs are modern machine knobs. Otherwise original. Refurbished 12/11.

Here's mine not really as pretty as Jack's but I'm just about finished with the Heald Hauler so may get to the Wards in a couple of weeks.

Nice pictures, haven't seen too many around of them ,but these are a good selection of Wards Tractors. Some good ideas to. thanks One of mine is like the 16 HP (I guess its an 1983)Tractor Mower I have the receipt when bought. For Information ......sold for $939.05, the mower part was $229.95, $58.45 tax total of $1227.45 8/18/83 Boerne Tx.

anyone have one of the old M W walk behind tillers that had the gear shifter on the trans. 2 speeds forward and 1 reverse, we have two of them that are still used but I dont have any pics of them.

Hi jdrobison, I wasn't aware the M Wards sold a tiller like that, I have a Sears Roto-Spader that has that arrangement, hi and lo fwd and reverse, I converted mine to a pull behind and it works great. Its amazing how well all the garden equipment was built back in the day and it still works good.

OOOOPS, your right, one of those brain farts hit and I was thinking it was mw. but it is sears.:sorry1:

GB, I would really like to see a picture of yours. I am thinking of making one of mine a tow behind and need some ideas. :thanku:

That is sharp looking,:fing32: looks like you just added the flat plate under the engine to attach your hitch to. I just put a OHV briggs on the one we use. was thinking of possibly going with a hydo motor to power the tiller. I have a pump on my 147 for a log splitter I used to pull with it. I will post pics when I get going on this, but its not at the top of the list this year. so many projects-so little time.
