I ordered in a new belt for one of my decks the other day, and it came in yesterday. So, I decided to spend the morning going over the deck that came with the ST16. What I found is that this deck can't have too many hours on it. The blades are in great shape, just a quick sharpening and balance. The mandrels took quite a bit of grease to get filled up, but they turned nice and easy even before the greasing. I will need to do some wire wheel rust removal and painting, but that's not high on the priority list right now. All the rust is just surface and in non-essential areas. The only part I'm struggling with is finding where the heck I put the rod for the blade brake. Once I locate that I'll be able to try the thing out properly.

I did run it for a few minutes in the shop just to make sure that nothing was gonna come apart or make awful noises, and it was nice and quiet, with very little vibration. :fing32:
I'll get some pics when it's working.
