I would like to add a gauge cluster to my tractors. I do not want to modify any of them at all, making sure everything can be put back to original condition easily.

here is the set

the most complicated one is my 4118D.
it comes with a warning light module.

what I want to do is add my mechanical gauges while keeping my warning lights operational.

I found a fitting I can add to my rad.

now I am trying to find something that will allow me to tap into my hydraulic circuit (might be more complicated with high psi) for temperature

and oil pressure I dont think I could run 2 gauges, a mechanical and the stock warning sensor.

thought I would post up incase members know any other ways.

if I cant figure it out, I will take out the sending units bag them and store them under the dash, and replace them with the mechanicals

Pull the existing oil drain plug, replace it with a brass male/male elbow. Buy a brass cap that fits that elbow, drill it for the temperature probe and perhaps solder the probe right into the cap? Epoxy might work as well.

I suggest an elbow so that the wire coming off the probe isn't sticking straight down waiting to get damaged.

Hope I'm not being a wet blanket... but is a $9.99 set of gauges going to stand up to tractor operational vibration and/or be any sort of accurate?
this store buys out stock from other establishments that close down.

I do know some others that have great luck with them, if it starts falling apart then I will just take it off.

I tested the temp gauge and it checked out fine next to a expensive digital thermometer.

For the hydraulic temperature, a 'T' at the return port on the transmission. That's where the oil will be warmest and at its lowest pressure. You really don't want a fixed wire coming out of your drain plug that you have to unscrew occassionally, or an elbow hanging down to get broken if you high center a rock.

Likewise, a 'T' for the engine oil pressure will allow both units to function.

Orient the 'T's' to suit available space and routing. You may have to get the transmission 'T' from PAL or a local hydraulics shop. There are many configurations of thread and size options for each individual port on hydraulic 'T's'. Take the original fitting with you if you don't know what the threads are.

That sure doesn't look like an Equus gauge set to me but you'll never know till you get it home.
I can assure you they are Equus, I have 2 infront of me :)
one for the 4118D the other for the 4016.
they are back light also.

might buy another when I go back for my hydraulics parts.

Like I said you wouldn't know till they are in front of you and now they are, glad you found such a good deal on them.
