Depending on the age of the model, the G-14 should be equipped with either a tecumseh OH140 or HH140... they are the same engine basically, just different names. As far as i'm concerned the engine is very good. It is a solid piece of cast iron with a good carb and i also like the huge mufflers they have on them. The engines are built to last and seem to hold up very, very well against competitive brands of equal status. As far as the tractor goes, it is also a well built machine. Its very simple but it has some nice headlights, a strong as bullets transmission, and they last well. Parts are easy to obtain too... many of the parts are readily avaliable on ebay or sam's/sonny's bolens. The g-14 i bought was originally listed without a seat or any attachments for $200, but i haggled the seller down to $100. I would reccomend this tractor to you if you are looking for a true workhorse and one that is fun to restore.
