when I have trouble this is where I go.
I have an old B7100. My fuel tank has a small crack. The crack is located under the tie down strap. Help!! I called a Kubota dealer they can order me one but its on the expensive side. Any suggestions. Where can I maybe locate a used one or a cheeper route

I had good luck sealing up the fuel tank on my old TE20 w/ J B weld. The trick is to clean the area around the tank, making sure to remove all dirt, grime, corrosion, paint etc., until you get it down to a nice shiney surface for the JB weld to bond to. Let it sit overnight then try it out the next day. If it hold's you're GTG.
Good luck

I have used JB weld on alot of stuff. This tank is made of plastic. It may be a little thicker than a plastic gas can. I don't know if JB will work on plastic that well. It is a hair line crack about an inch long.

Tey make a 2 part epoxy just for that. Sometimes the kits come with fiberglass cloth mat. Hot mine @ the local O'Reilly's. It's for gas tank repair, but mine said compatible with plastic...
