fuel shut off valve

have a husqvarna zero turn and need to replace fuel shut off valve. Question is why can't I put a tee to connect to both tanks and use a single shut off and run off both tanks at the same time?

Great question, did you ever get an answer. I just bought a PZT 60 and want to do the same thing
