Hi there,
While using a blade my lift stopped lifting it. It was however manipulating the rear lift. At first it seemed if I held the lever it would lift the blade. But not any more. No matter which setting the lift is on it raises and lowers the rear. And it doesn't feel like it is actually attached to anything.
I removed the tank to get a look and it appears the bar that moves back and forth isn't hooked to anything. Nor is it moving anything to change from front to rear.
Can someone give me an idea of what I am looking at or looking for?
Thanks in advance fplks.

The selector rod that goes through the frame is inserted through that tab sticking up with the hole in it. There should be some small holes in the rod for cotterpins. From the front of the rod working back, it should be cotterpin, washer, spring, washer, that hole in the tab, washer, spring, washer, cotterpin. Unfortunately, you probably lost the springs... I can get you some measurements if you need.

Looking at that picture, you should add something slippery to that pivot point on the f/r selection bar. The springs on the rod just provide enough pressure to pivot that bar back and forth. Making sure that bar pivots smoothly should make selecting between front and rear much easier. Also, make sure that when switching between front and rear that the lift is always fully up before moving moving the rod to make the switch.

Thank you guys!
The gem in your advice was the lift must be up to switch between front and rear lifts. I am not sure why it popped put, but when it did I moved the lever the wrong way and it was not hitting something right is the best way I can put it. Once I replaced 2 missing washers (the ones closest to the lever the rod goes through) I now have it working. It must have been abut half lift when it popped out and all my messing with it was at half lift or down.
I can switch back and forth between front and rear lift again.
And while the tank is out the beast is going to get a good cleaning under there. What a bleeping mess it is under the tank.
