I have yet to see all of the decals available for my '66 Chief 1200. The shift
pattern decal on the battery cover is one that is not available. So, I took a
3" x 4" piece of aluminum and stamped the pattern into it.
I tried different methods until I found one I liked. I then covered the stamped
area with black paint, let it dry, and lightly sanded the excess off. This allows
the pattern to standout. I buffed it with fine steel wool and liked the result.
For now I plan to use double sided tape to mount it. The decals could be available at anytime and don't want to drill unnecessary holes.
I have a decent extra one for anyone that may want it. I will send it free to
the first taker. Private message me an address and it's yours.

Nice work Neil. That is one of the greatest joys of these projects is fabbing something up and seeing a good usuable product as the result.

Neil, have you tried clickitandstickit.com? If you have a picture of the decal he tells me he can make any decal there is. You may have to use a scale / ruler to give him some measurements. Just a thought.:thThumbsU
