Everybody needs a carryall right? I have seen a lot of nice ones here and on other forums built around the TSC carryall frame or similar.

I already have a TSC trailer mover, so I thought I would try a receiver mount cargo carrier attached to it and see how it works.

I am not a Harbor Freight fan, but their aluminum cargo carrier had excellent reviews online. It lists for $129, is on sale for $99, and currently has an online $20 off coupon, so it is $79 plus tax.

It took me about 30 minutes to put together. The four sides attach to the frame with 16 hex bolts and nylock nuts. I used an 8mm nut driver and wrench to bolt the sides to frame. Per usual, it pays to put it together loosely before tightening everything down.

The corners bolt together with larger bolts and nylocks, you will need a 4.5mm allen wrench and 13mm wrench or socket, the same tools are used to attach the receiver sleeve to the frame.

The unit is very lightweight and easy to handle. It slid right into the trailer mover. You can see from one of the pics that if I grind just a bit off of the receiver, the cargo carrier will fit tight against the trailer mover. As it is now, it is about 4" from the frame when the holes line up to slide in the hitch pin.

It fits well, doesn't rattle, but you can wiggle it around a bit. My wife and I took turns lifting each other in the air with the hydraulics, no problems. I dropped a piece of scrap plywood on it, and I think it is ready to go. I will post more after I use it and customize it a bit (tool box, shovel holders etc).

Thanks for the great photos, Paratus.....my wife now knows what I was talking about and thinks it's a great idea. Uh, like don't you have 20 yards of gravel waiting for your attention? (I couldn't have waited to toss that on for a look either.) It's going to be handy and would have been a bargain at full price.

I like it! If it were me, I'd probably grind a small notch in the end of the trailer mover tube, then just pin it through the existing hole in the carryall. That way it's still set up to work on another vehicle. Great find for little money, and I bet you'll end up using it for all kinds of stuff.

Thanks for the comments.

The 20 yds of dirt got here this morning, the GC2600 moved it all where it needed to be. That was a BIG pile of dirt, but its all gone now. I love that tractor.

Loremaster, I am with you on grinding a couple notches in the receiver tube. That will lock it in nice and tight on the trailer mover.

Nice addition! I have one also and love it, very handy and more convenient than a cart, especially for smaller stuff. Another idea instead of grinding notches in the receiver tube would be to drill a new hole from the top of the receiver tube down through the shank of the cargo carrier. Then you can just drop your hitch pin in and you don't have to worry about putting the clip on the pin.

That is a great idea, thanks. Doesn't get any easier than that!

No problem. I use mine so much that I am always taking it on and off, and the biggest hassel was lining the holes up and repining it, so whatever makes life easier works for me.

Is the shank on yours made out of steel or aluminum? I got mine a few years ago and it has a steel shank which adds a good bit of weight to it and partly defeats the purpose of the carrier being made out of aluminum. Your shank looks to be aluminum?
