Well I have found a frame from an 8123 and need some advice on:

1. Will the 8123 frame rails work on my 810?
2. Whether it breaks down into two frame rails or not? Is the plate the steering attaches to welded across the front of the frame or can it just be unbolted so you have two mirror-image frame rails? (seems like shipping would be easier/cheaper if it was broken down all the way)

Anyone with experience taking one of these all the way apart I'm all ears. Great price on the frame if it will work($25) but don't want to spend $100 shipping it.

thank'ee

The frame is all one piece. A 8123 should be the same as long as it's is not a 8123-G. The 810 and the 8123 is a short frame and the 8123-G is a long frame. Another question is what year is your 810? If it's older than 1974 it could have the enclosed steering box if it's newer than 1974 it could be rack & pinion steering. The 8123 will be rack & pinion so, if yours is older make sure you get all of the steering parts along with the frame. The R&P steering is much better than the enclosed steering box.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, the 810 I'm parting out does not have the parts you PM me about. The grille casting has been busted and repaired badly. I do have the grille insert. the dash is rusted really bad also. Jason
