Hello all,

I recently purchased a 1988 Ford LGT14H, model 09GN2208, for $50.

I have it running mechanically pretty solid, and everything seems to work. However, I am having a couple of issues that I need some help with as I cannot seem to find information on the brake system on these tractors.

No matter how I seem to adjust the brakes on this unit, I cannot get them to work properly. I can adjust the tension of the brake rod so that the brakes are always on, but I cannot find a mid-point where the caliper will release when you let go of the pedal.

I searched for parts diagrams on Messick's and browsed through the repair manual that I have, but neither seem to be helpful with understanding how the brake system should be connected or adjusted.

I will get a closer picture of the brake system as it's currently set up when I get home later.

Does anyone have any pictures of how the brake caliper/rod/system should be connected?

Thank you in advance.
