Hello. Have a 545 Backhoe and tires are really dried up. Still hold air but will go anytime. The tire size on the rear is 16.9-24. Is there any other tire sizes I can use on my backhoe. Found a guy with 17.5L-24 backhoe tires that are new but sat around for a few years. Will those work fine on my backhoe? And how long do new tires last if they sat around being unused. Also do you know if the 545 backhoe came with tubed or tubeless on the rear tires?

You should be able to tell by looking at the air valve on the rim. If it's wire and sealed to the rim, then it's not tubed, if you can see the edge of the rim and the valve is mounted to the rubber inside the rim, then it's tubed.

I'm pretty sure that it had tubes, front and rear, when new. You can generally go one size wider or narrower than the stock tire size on a rim, so those 17.5L-24 tires should fit. If they are tubeless you should be ale to still use them with tubes on the original 545 rims.
