Just picked up this tractor and the 3 pt is stuck up. It will not go down for anything.

I cleaned the suction screen and replaced the fluid which was disgusting and the loader works great so I know the pump is OK.

Where are the valves and could something be adjusted incorrectly?

Check the round knob under the front of the seat (Flow Control Valve I think it's called). Full clock-wise will hold the lift arm position. Counter-clock-wise should allow the arms to drop (even when it's not running).

Might want to check out this forum too if you haven't been there yet. There's a good mix of Ford topics in there too.
