I put a bar throught the u-joint of the drive shaft on the back side of the engine, and that worked for medoes any body know a safe way to break the flywheel nut free to take the flywheel off?
mine has been outside for 4 years, and came off no problems, just try soime wd40, and put a socket on it and should come off easily.ok ill try that, but just in case would heating up the nut damage anything?
This would be the safest rought if you are worried....Remove the spark plug and stuff a section of rope to bottom out the piston so you can turn the nut off without the engine turning over. Works for me.
An oldtimer showed me that and it works great .:thThumbsURemove the spark plug and stuff a section of rope to bottom out the piston so you can turn the nut off without the engine turning over. Works for me.
Glad it worked.i used the "bar in the u-joint" trick and it worked mint thanks!
