Hi @ My Tractor Forum,

Question: Just replaced the rear-end of my Case 444, with a used one.
Mine dropped a gear. Just put it all back together. The problem is
that at low throttle it works fine, but when throttle speed is
increased, the tractor surges forward. Thought maybe it may need
to be bled at the spool. Any other suggestions before I try the
bleed process. Thanks for any & all help.

I've got nothing on the guys problem.

As for his choice of titles. It's annoying when someone doesn't use a proper title because it makes it a lot harder to search for threads when you're having a similar issue with a piece of equipment.

Maybe the answer can be found at this link....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fly_fishing

as far as the surging issue goes. It could be a few things.

Low level or incorrect type of hydraulic oil...

Debris in the system possibly the hydro pump or as castoff asked, a holding valve port clogged....

worn nuetral safety switch...

too much play in the spool linkages.

Something could be caught of binding the parking brake spring....

Any number of things.. pictures and a detailed description of the behavior will help us narrow it down.

This forum is definitely here to help Colt, Case and Ingersoll owners solve the problems they are having. Asking the person that has the problem to provide more information is a normal part of the process. What ISN'T a normal part of the process is for the person with the problem to send PM's to those who are attempting to help them and tell them that they don't know anything.

The rest of you are welcome to this thread because when someone comes at me off list in a highly negative fashion like Poppoo did, that's where I draw the line in providing any further assistance. So, I suggest that those with a crystal ball or mind-reading skills take over because apparently Poppoo has no intention of providing information to help others help him.

Is it possible that the OP was mislead by your "Newbie-Still Learning" title? Sometimes, sarcasm can be taken too seriously!
