I finaly had time to take a carb off the old 8hp and compare it. They are completely different from each other except for the bowl and float, I will use those parts on the 11hp carb. Water had been in the bowl for a long time, it was full of rust and water had frozen at one point and crushed the float. I should be able to clean it up but it is one of the nastiest carburators I have ever seen.
flat head briggs carb swap 8 to 11hp?
I am re-powering a mower that has an 8hp briggs with an 11hp industrial, the 11hp has been sitting for a long time and the carb is very crusty, so I was wondering if I can use the carb from the 8 hp?
