Well I got to use my used but new to me craftsman 46" snowblower this weekend that I bought and didn't get to try last year. I put an actuator on the lift and helper springs for helping in the lifting. But when I put it down the springs are to tight and keep it up just a little so need to add a little bit to the length to them. Was wondering if anyone has added a pipe to the bottom of there blower I did this to my blade and worked good on gravel and grass. Might have to order lighted switches for the controls and maybe add some light to the top of the blower since the tractors are blocked when blowing.

I have never heard of anyone doing the pipe thing on the snowblower- they have adjustable skid shoes.

Try the pipe, take pics and let us know how it works out!
My wife hates it when I rip up the lawn with mine...

MTF had some 'pipe' discussion last fall. on gravel and grass. Depending on the weight of the plow, you might have different types of success.
Anyone done a 'search' for it using the search functioni n the upper right corner of the page?

I'm still having fun with my newly installed blower, without any mods.
