Just got myself a cub cadet model 76, looking to make it a pulling tractor. Im looking at where to start first? I got the deck off and the motor running, need to find out what to do next to get it ready for next season.

id look up the local rules for all the classes, and go from there. once you decide what class, it will give you restrictions of what you can't do.

So i got all different classes and im gonna try to go stock, i was wondering what to do to get the motor at most performance. and where and how do i get the motor bored? i know what it is, but how do i get the piston to take up the room if i bore it to .020 over? and what about valves if i just wanna wait on the bore of the motor what can i do to do the valves to get them better or what have. And also i've heard about shaving the head, what does that do and is it worth it to do? So what im basicall trying to do is get the most i can the CHEAPEST way i can. Thanks Joe
