Yes after many months of wanting one I finally have one. Not as old as I was looking for but it was free so I took it. Has a 6.5 HP Tecumpseh 4 cycle. The tag is wore out and half missing but I think it use to say Silver Series. The tag on the fram says
Model 10272
Serial number 240000376
Runs pretty good and mows very good. I have some questions about it tho
About when was this made? I would guess mid 90's
Is it a Commercial or Homeowner model?
Where can I get correct style replacement wheels?
Where can I get a new deadman cable?
Whats it worth?
If anyone can answer any of my questions that would be great! I also got a free Murray 22" walk behind. Its a 1992 model with a Briggs Quantum 5 HP engine and has the large wheels at the rear and also a throttle control, it needs the carb cleaned but thats about it. I will get some photos of them later today

Good deal, yeah the older ones are hard to find down here, especially out here in west texas.

That mower was made in 2003, 2004, as far as value goes it's probably not quite worth what the older 2 strokes are bringing.
Wow i didnt think it was that new. And yes they are almost impossible to find down here, and West Tx? Im suprised you found any kind of mower out there lol I have been out yonder a couple times, nuthin but dust and wind and some tumbleweeds lol

Well I only have one mower that is native west texas, a 1994 model 10420, it was given to me after it threw a rod early in it's life. All the other mowers are either ebay purchases, or one that a fellow member from GA sent me. It's kinda tough being a Kentucky boy and getting stuck out here where grasses can barely grow. LOL All-in-all though, a nice place to live.
