Some people who really care for their lawn feed it every 6 weeks over the growing season, though will need regular watering doing this and mowing like every 3-4 days. Also, any animals urinating on the lawn will leave nice scorch marks if it's well fed, as the lawn will already have enough nitrogen in it, any extra from urine kills it, known as scorching.
All depends how much maintenance you want to do. A lawn can look after itself if you use mulching systems, basicly it feeds itself. I havn't found any issues with thatch build up that some gardeners are warey of. Cutting every 2 week will do doing this. Growth keeps pretty steady
But yeah, give it another 2 weeks and im sure it'll be fine to treat the lawn. Just keep watering if its dry and be prepared to mow!
