I had that poster too--along with Lynda Carter and Cheryl Teigs!..

I was a bit ticked off when I watched the news this morning--at least 10 minutes devoted to "the king of pop" Micheal Jackson and thats ALL I heard about last night--not one word about Farrah on the news this morning..guess she's been brushed aside.....yes,you cant dismiss Micheal's popularity and success--but dont forget the other icon that passed!..
I hate the media sometimes..

Well,I do not consider 50 "young" really--not since I turned 50 last august anyway!..
I think race may also be a factor here..hate to bring that touchy subject up,but I cant help notice that ..if they didn't make a big deal over MJ's passing,someone would scream "discrimination",most likely..
I suppose some feel Farrah was just another "dumb blonde" or
"sex symbol" ,and not a talented actress also..still it's no excuse to dismiss her passing ,no matter how they veiwed her..

I don't think Farrah's passing was dismissed at all. It was on Dateline last night, as well as a 2 hour special tonight. It was also on the News, and plastered over the front page on every major news website.

That's not correct. From the CATIE website:

Pre-cancer can be diagnosed in the anal canal with a Pap smear similar to that used to detect cervical cancer in women. Cells collected from a swab inserted in the anus are examined under a microscope for pre-cancerous or cancerous changes. In people at high risk for anal cancer, the anal Pap smear and HRA should be done yearly where facilities exist.

Other examinations for the rectum and colon, such as sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy, do not adequately examine the anal canal. Do not assume that you have been screened for anal cancer if you have had a colonoscopy.
