Can someone post a picture or tell me where the motor oil fill is located on a 1940 Farmall M? I just got the tractor, and need to change the oil, not sure where the fill is located. Thanks.:thanku::fing20:

the oil fill for the engine oil is between the rad and distributor it looks like a giant wing nut with a round base attached to it hope this helps you out also to check the oil level there is two taps on the side of the oil pan to check the oil level you open the top one and when the right amount of oil is in the engine it will run out the bottom on is for checking the oil level from then on out just crack it open and if oil comes out you are good to go if not you need to add a engine oil till it comes out the top one again also the old farmalls run a different oil then most tractors they require a low ash oil witch you can get at any case ih dealer hope this helps you out :thThumbsU
