What are these hole for? They are factory done and I am getting ready to reinforce the side rails. This is an 1886, right side facing forward. I don't want to cover them if I will need them later on.

They are factory and is were the power steering bracket mounts.

They are notorious for cracking right where the blower mounts on. This metal is 40 + years old and as I welder I know that metal starts to fatigue after years of stressing. I am also in the market for a Johnson model 14 FEL for it.

Were at on the frame are you reinforcing inside or out side?
I dont think you will need them with a loader.

I put a plate on the outside but I left room to use those holes.

Thanks WJ, Now if I ever find a FEL I will be all set. I don't think I will need PS until I get to my late 70's or early 80's.

I see in your sig you say upstate NY. How near Syracuse is that? Anyhow that PS is for sissy's.
