I have a customer that wants to trade in a F525 on one of my machines. He hasn’t gotten back to me on the year or deck size but he did send one picture. I’ve never had one of these before & don’t really know much about them. How much would something like this be worth & how desirable are they.

At auction they seel for as little as 110 and as much as 1500. Most commonly the sell around 500. I would think that it would probably sell better for a park service but being used isnt desirable for alot of commercial costomers like that. I'm not sure if there is much demand for this model in your area. On the other hand it will get under trees, bushes, and decks better than alot of other machines. You may find that a landscaper may want it.

The big problem with the F525 is the integrated engine and transaxle. Makes it much harder to repair either and more likely to need to.

They also have traction problems, but some people really loved them (a decade ago, now probably not so much).

Thanks for the input. The customer thinks it would be worth about $1200 when it’s all serviced & ready to go but it sounds like I would have trouble getting that so I’ll probably pass on this one.

Here’s one for sale locally. It’s been on CL for months. IIRC it started at $1500.

I dont think he'll sell it for 1000. I found them starting at 110 for a complete machine.

I told him I wasn’t interested because his expectations of the value were too high. Then he asked if I could hold the tractor he wanted until he could sell his. He got a little upset when I told him no.

Better to have him a little upset that he is stuck with it. Than you be a lot of upset because you are stuck with it. Mowing season is on us. If his old unit was worth anything it would be gone fast, so he should be waving cash at you as we speak.
