oooooo... got me on that one. forgot about them.... good call.
Robin Subaru EX and SP series. Super smooth, easy starting and quiet! I like them better than the Honda GX series even.

On a walk behind??? Cool!:thThumbsU
I wish now I had all the 3.0-3.5 Briggs I got rid of.

Since its too late to edit my previous post, I'll quote myself... Suzuki 2-cycles is the one I forgot about. Been a while since I've had one. I am unfamiliar with the Wisconsin Robin. Perhaps I should go find one.
My favorite is the one that runs.:thThumbsU I am partial to the Honda GX engines I have, though there is nothing like the sound of a good running 2 stroke to get you going.
After the lawnboys, hmmm, probably the Evinrude E-tek, I guess were talking lawn equipment, so yes, I think the suzuki 2-cycles.
Kohler K series!
2 stroke suzukis. I dont mind the toro r tek in the snow blowers either...

Havent tried out the Robin 2 stroke yet...
I see a few Suzuki fans...I get it, I like them too. I have never used, or even seen a Wisconsin Robin. Why are they liked? I like the BS 3.5 because they are powerful, easy to work on, and...well...I don't really know. I just like them.

Oh I hear ya!!! those old school 3-4hp briggs were bullet proof!!Stone simple, almost zero maintance.... just a all around great, and simple disign!!

As for bigger ride on stuff.... Cant beat the old Kohler K's!! Parts are everywere, run forever, and easy to rebuild when they do get worn

Kohler K series!
I second that - I love those old Kohler singles. Gravely T-heads are also fun.
I saw some YouTube vids of the Wisconsin Robin...by the way they sound I can see why so many people like them.
