The Triads were a very advanced engine for what they were.
The bad thing about them was the fact that they didn't like lawn chaff.
I don't think the engineers at Kohler figured how these engines would run in a dusty environment, with little or no cleaning.
There are some articles written about the Triads as to the labor required to keep them running correctly without clogging things up and overheating them.
Problem is, it's easier to just pull out your blown up Triad and install a Command, or even a Briggs engine.
