how big of engine can i use to replace my 10hp tecumseh in my 1970 raider 10 for more power without a lot of mods.will the 12 or 14hp kohlers interchange ??

The 10, 12, 14 and 16hp Kohlers with the big base block and correct oil pan will bolt right in, you may have to modify the tab on the belt guard to fit the Kohler, but some belt guards are set up for both engines, the choke and throttle cables will need to be changed they will be to short on the kohler, you will also have to change all the wiring and ign. switch, i've done a couple swaps like this, it's not to bad, but you have to start with the correct style engine.
