thanks for the links. I was hoping it did the deck too, but not imperative. Hopefully the guy selling comes through quickly with getting it shipped, my left leg is bothering me and I know lifting the blower with it will cause me more discomfort.

Guess You need to upgrade to a X500 series with Hydraulic lift:thThumbsU

I have an x540 but I only use it in summer. I have 405hrs. on 08 x500 and 400hrs. on 2012 x540 which cuts a lot of grass I'm trying to keep hrs. down as it's NLA. warranty just ran out about a month ago.

Well if You want to keep hrs down use the X540 In the winter and use the X500 in the Spring, Summer & Fall The 44inch Blower will work On the X540 just fine:thThumbsU

I couldn't cut that much grass without P steering. I cut grass at resort I operate. 8hrs every thursday. weather permitting. I'm not one wanting more seat time. use to have a 430 with 60". the x540 cut 2hrs off time to cut even with smaller deck. it's just a lot more nimble around buildings of which I have 40 cottage units.

can the actuator be left on with the mower deck back in use or does it need to be removed to go back to pedal operation!

By the Installation Manual it Looks Like You will have to remove the actuator & rear Mounting Bracket to Utilize the deck. It does say to use the tiller those same Parts need to be removed But it doesn't say anything about the deck so Maybe the Bracket May Not have to be removed to Use the deck. If You click On Compatibility Chart In the superior tech Link You can download the Install Manual But removing the actuator and front Lift link is 4 pins & 4 circle clips so it very easy to Install and Uninstall after Initial Installation:thThumbsU

thanks for the help Sergeant it seems the guy selling the kit can't be bothered to ship it out after I asked him if he would and he told me he would. I offered him an extra $50 for his trouble. It's about 24hr. drive for me to pickup. too far. anyway I ordered an actuator from the US which says will be here DEC 8, not too bad. I'll make the brackets. I have welding equipment so no big deal and save my self the headache of waiting for some guy to get off his behind.
actuator is only $50cdn. which is a big difference from $600+Tax. from the dealer.

Well since Your doing that. what You should do is Look at where the Hydraulic cylinder is On you X540 and see how it attaches then see if You Can fit a actuator In the same Location on the X500 and Make the whole tractor electric lift Just a thought since You can fabricate :thThumbsU

thats a good idea, I'll take a look! I just have a feeling the electric actuator is much larger than the hydraulic cylinder. I won't be able to decide anything until I have actuator in hand to get dimensions. I think I'll just mount it first in the normal position and run a chain to blower mount bracket to test it's power.
