HCR-1500 Starts up ok. After you get it running and warmed up, it dies out. Has new fuel line last summer. Never had a carb, and they aren't badly priced these days. Any suggestions? Thanks, gents. Hot Ajax
So, if it starts and runs OK until the engine gets warm, I might suspect something in the ignition system. I have had a few ignition coils that had failures when warm, but were OK when cool. I have had a time or two where the spark plug also seemed to have issues only when hot, and replacing it corrected the issue.
Another possibility is the fuel tank vent. When it won't run well, unscrew the gas cap some to vent the tank and see if it runs ok then.
I've been kicking around buying a straight shaft brushcutter to take down sumac on my property. Some of it is 4" at the base. Looking at them is giving me sticker shock. I know I need bigger CCs to drive a blade. Any reccomendations on one that works well but won't break the bank?
Hi I'm new to this. I have been struggling to track down a hatz 3 cylinder diesel capsule/ engine cover if anyone has any knowledge of where to get one online or in the South of England would be much appreciated.
Tree company has several fs250r trimmers with bush blades on CLs. Asking price 3-350. Almost nobody sells stihl. Once they buy them they are kept for decades. So I can't find other listings on used items. Just wanted to check in with the forum on the value. From the pictures they look clean...
Get yourself some VP Full Synethic 2 stroke oil
Go to the local airport and buy yourself some e-free unleaded aviation gas.
Throw in an ounce of Pri-G
Stand back and watch your stuff perform better than it did when it was brand new.
