Hello,

I can across 07 DYT 4000 54" with Kholer engine and 300 hours. Please help me decide if I want this or not

1. How many hours can I expect from this engine? Is 300 too much?
2. Is $1300-$1200 (including bagger fair price)?
3. Will I be better off with 05 GT5000 54" with 200 hrs for the same price with no bagger?

Thanks!

You'd be better off with the GT5000. It has a more robust frame and can accept attachments. The Kohler engine is pretty good, as long as you keep the oil fresh and full.

how many hrs can I expect from the engine & transmission gt5000 with Kohler?
How many hours can you expect from it until what? Until it needs a rebuild? The only problems I've ever heard from these motors is blown connecting rods. That usually always happens when you run it low on oil. Gaskets wear out occasionally, but are easy to replace. The Kohler Command has a pretty good track record.
