Well all,

I am going tonight to place my order for an X500.

I'm getting the X500 with 48" deck
48" snow blade
squeegee attachment to keep the asphalt happy
blade angle kit to control it from the seat
2x of those hanging weights.

Later on I'll get the 7 bushel bagging kit, powerflo, and brush guard.

I'm also getting some "aftermarket" rubber chains.

I hope to have it delivered on Wed or Thurs and will have pics when it comes in!

Well Don, you're gonna have to scramble to get some seat time before the snow flies(got to get her broke in) Get it up to doing the first oil change and such while it's still nice out.

The trip to the dealer was fine.

I ordered exactly what I listed. They don't have the blade angling kit in stock right now so I may not get the tractor until next week. He's seeing if other local dealers have it in and they can get it from them.

They apparently do a demo/walkthrough when delivering. I cannot be there for the delivery (mandatory overtime at work), so he offered to do the demo at the dealership on their late night and deliver it the next day (my wife will be home to open the garage door). I thought them accommodating my schedule was very nice.

They also gave my son a Little Green Hat.

We did well, actually better than Bee's on the base price. We got $500 off on the tractor, $200 off on the accessory (the snow blade), and $300 off from a partner program through my wife's workplace. I also had close to $1400 in cash from my old Krapsman tractor and snow blower sales, so out of pocket was very, very reasonable.

Now the long wait.... =)

Thanks all!

A quick update: I won't have it for a week, as the angling kit for the blade is not in stock. It's on order, and they think Monday or Tuesday next week will be good to go. I will likely get my "demo" on Wednesday and get home delivery on Thursday.

Waiting sucks. =)

Well all,

I went in for the demo on Tuesday night. My sales person, Dave, went over how it all works, how to remove the mowing deck, and how to install the front blade. I got to run it briefly (I had my son with me) and get to know it a bit.

It gets delivered TODAY after 3pm. I'll likely go over the lawn once this weekend then put the front blade on since the grass looks like it's done growing.

I might also fore-go the cutting (it doesn't really need it...) to consider painting the insides of the deck. I saw a YouTube video with a guy painting the under-deck with a type of graphite paint. Do you guys think it's worth doing?

I'm 40 years old, and I want this to be the last tractor I ever buy, so I want it to last. =)
