There is a x475 for sale on craigslist for 2950. It's in great shape and comes with a scrape blade. Do you think this is a scam? All that it says is "needs nothing ready to mow". I sent them a email with a back up email, so they really can't steal anything from me. What do you guys think?

do not buy it unless youan check it out FIRST. only pay when you pick it up, never wire them anything and never pay via personal check.

Thats not real far out of line. I paid $4000 for my 04' X475 w/mc519 power flo system. It was a craigs listing. Very nice outfit. Just be careful.

Is there a phone # in the listing ? Most scams ads do not list a phone #.

And have a "Click here" to contact in the ad body.

Post a link to the listing, and I'm sure we can tell you if it's too good to be true or not.

If it's for real, then it's a great deal. It doesn't have any of the "telltale" signs of being a scam, but some don't in the ad itself, it's only after you reply to the ad that the signs become apparent.

I call scam. Seen these ads before. Respond. They'll tell you that it is in such and such a place and if you're west coast, it'll be east coast. They will have a "brother, uncle" that "will deliver it for free".
When I see an ad like this I usually delete it.
It may be legit but 99 times out of 100 it's just a scam.
Remember the old guideline...If it seems to good to be true it probably is.

It was defiantly a scam... the person emailed me back about a different tractor, and wanted to use the ebay protection thing lol.
