I might have the chance to buy a 2 way plow for my 1986 318. A guy has a plow for sale that came off his John Deere 300 16 horsepower tractor. He says it is a Model 54....1746M01. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Front attachments for the 300,312,314,316Kohler,316Onan,317, 318,322,330,332 140 & 120 will fit each other. Rear attachments is where you'll run into problems.:thThumbsU

Not all 300 series Onan attachments will fit the 300 series kohler. For example, the 318 front weight bracket did not fit on my 317. To my knowledge all the 300 series kohler will fit the 300 series Onan.

EDIT: clarified for Hugh

Here is some clarification.

The below picture is the frame of the 317. Note a total of 3 attachment points on the front;

The below pictures if the frame of a 318. Note a total of 4 attachment points on the front. On the bottom flange with the "hook" you can see the additional mounting hole just under the main frame rail.

He was referring to 300 series tractors with the Onan, the 316 and 318.
