it was SUPER muddy today. hard to pull on mud. lol. they bladed down to some dry ground. but we raced on the mud. it was fun.
sorry i don't pull. . . yet! i just located a local pulling organization and so i'm as green as they come, for now anyway.
There's a few guys on the site that do. Don't remember their names right off hand, tho. You'll run into them before too long, I'd imagine. Pretty active on the site.
we had a 2 day event. today was last day. i was the first up had the lead by 2 points. we had a pull. so i get the tractor out there and we have to turn it off for "inspection" and i go to start it back up, and the starter caught on FIRE. i had 5 minuets to get in the shop, find a starter, and get it going. i got DQ'd becuase my mower wouldnt run. and i lost my lead and didnt get to compete in any events for the day
Does our annual neighborhood block party tractor race qualify?

Boy2 has been wanting to build a garden tractor for pulling. We (wife and boy2) went to our local county fair this past weekend. They have a garden tractor pull, miniature sled and all. They pulled several classes, all the way up to a 1050# Pro-Stock.
No racing here, but we got into pulling. Tim & I use the 110. We've been doing it about 3 years now. We run stock, except for chrome exhaust pipe & Ag tires.
Tim's friend in the pic, Jake had just got the CC 104. Smoked like a bandit. He & his dad pulled the engine last month for new piston, etc. Don't know if he'll be ready to pull next month.

I pull my cousins garden tractor with him, I hope to build one sometime if I can find the right deal on a mf-10 or mf-12G.

Here are some pics on our website.

Lawn mower racing here in the Northwest was real popular for years, I think it has died down some though the King County fair (Seattle) had lawn mower races this year. We use to get some Canadians down that did the lawn draggers was cool bunch of guys with some real nice machines.
alright guys. its in the shop right now. getting a new starter. i mean its not like a HUGE stack. its just a pipe thats bent and it comes out and curves up. and we had to put the 12 HP back on. the guy i bought the 18 horse claimed he changed the oil. guess what. he didnt change the oil and it got locked up.

lol. i like the guy with the golf club.
jdo,

He was the eventual winner -- it didn't matter if he came in dead last, it was due to style points. :)
I've always liked any kind of tractor/truck pulls. Went to everyone ever held at the speedway in the 80's with my dad.
I was talkin to a fella that pulls GT in another county. He stoped by to look at on of my cubs, for some parts. I said, I'd like to do it, but I don't have the time. Then I said, at least it ain't like mower racing. Where you do it for just fun. He told me that they don't pull for MONEY??????? Just a TROPHY???????
So now, I was curious as to how much money he has in his tractor? $8,000 Sheww.
Don't take this wrong, but thats a-little rich for my bare pockets, and not to win even a-little money?
I guess everybody has different likens', but some ole' Ben Franklins would make it more interestin':greendr: :trink39:

Go here. This is our local pulling site in the Mid-Atlantic area. Lots of interest here in WVA, VA, MD and PA. I pull a stock 1000 Cub Cadet and a 108 Cub. Take a look at this site below for more than you ever cared to know about tractor pulling and Cub Cadets:
