That crank is screaming lack of lube. Lack of lube doesnt necessarily mean any single failure...for example, too tight of oil clearance on the rod, or a short dipper rod used in a long dipper engine...or long dipper used in a short dipper engine. If you have reasonably right clearance, and the right dipper, with the right amount of oil..with the rod installed right, it should work.

only time i've seen a rod seize like that it was installed wrong, if on wrong the oil hole never picks up any oil from the dipper splashing . motor seizes up in seconds
from the photos that crank is now junk going to take more than .010 under to clean it up. try contacting these guys for a good used one or maybe if lucky a already cut one rob the owner is a good guy full of knowledge on the classic cadets

happens all the time when the rod is on 180 out,the oil hole should face the camshaft ,if not NO oil, seized /broken rod
and yes that crank is now trash unless a shop can clean it up at .010 under size if not hello midwestsupercub for a billet rod with custom inserts Rod Bearing to .030 under size to fit K Series Billet Connecting Rod

He can go 20 under before the crank needs to go. This will be the second round of cleaning. Think its time for a trip to a machine shop to have it done and sized to a new rod. At least as yet there is no air-conditioning of the block that should not be there. Third time maybe charm. We all have to learn some how.

problem there is they only make stock rods to .010 under, at .020 or .030 you need to find after market with inserts ,than they make up to .030 under's
