The thin copper strip that connects the primary connection bolt to the points and condenser inside the distributer is almost torn in half . Is that a replaceable part or how would you repair it , or do you just have to engineer something ? This is on a 51 8n with side mount distributer . Thanks

Everything is replaceable on the N but I use a strip off of an old set of points. Have seen them made up with wire and there are after market that the wire goes though a groment for the side of the dizzy and the wire connects directly to the points. Same as late 60's early 70's cars and trucks.

New points and condenser should have the copper strip in the package.

Points and condensor from NAPA did not have the copper strip . For a temporary fix I took post out and ran a wire through hole in to the points . Like I said , it`s a temporary fix , but it works .
