Thought I better get the sediment bowl cleaned out before snow duty. This needs checked / cleaned at least 3 times a year. I was shocked from the amount of sediment collected in the bowl! Screen and gasket are clean now as well.:thanku:

When I got my 122, it had been sitting for at least 10 years with gas in the tank.

It had the nasty "stuff" in the tank, the fuel bowl and the sediment bowl. It was tar like in the sediment bowl. I pushed on it with my thumb and broke thru the crust/film on the top.

That was the stupidiest thing I've done in a very long time :banghead3

That's funny! Sometimes I think I'm the only one that does stuff like that, it's good to hear that occasionally I'm not alone. :)

This is about a year's worth of sediment. I never realy noticed untill I could see the sediment swirreling in the bowl. Your right about that Justin! I have to wonder where this dirt came from:dunno:? Seems like I just cleaned and painted the tank. I'll be watching this to figure it out!

Well, for a year's worth, that fine particulate doesn't look so bad to me, for a metal tank that is. Shoot, some of that could be debris just from filling the tank every now and then. The summers here in Ohio can get real dusty (although this year wasn't as bad), and leaf season....oh man, it will make my tractor look like it went through a snowstorm of leaf dust if I get to chopping them up.

I believe that was 2 years ago?,....when I got a carb. kit from my local cc dealer. Now that the furniture and bedroom sets are set up, I can get out today and go have a look see! Wouldent hurt to let the 71 run a little too!

Yah, with the cold creeping in, you gotta get out there and fire em up to keep the juices flowing :) Or at least that's what I tell myself so I have an excuse to hear the twin cylinder rumble.....
