wow was (actually still am) down with the flu!
I staggered the two pieces so there was more flex, 1/4" reinforced rubber will not flex... This allows you to get a tighter fit, you will see what I mean when it rotates...
I used a 1" bolt but if your paddle is bent or bowed (most are) you might need a longer bolt, to get the threads started. (A long bolt provides no problems as it is on the side of th epaddle that does "nothing"
I went out today (40F here) and did a 10,000 sq.. ft. drive that was 100% slush, not a clog and a pretty good throw!
