Well I scored another deal. How's $25 sound for this minty 10515? I didn't even bother to haggle, I bought it and ran lol. It was a lady's fathers mower he bought new and she didn't want to fool with mixing gas. I have 2 10515's already but this one is the cleanest.

Heck yeah! Very nice machine. I got mine (10520) for $10 but had to put about $30.00 into it for cable, blade and paint before it was right. I would have ran too!
Very nice machine! That was a good decision not to haggle.

I usually take a look on craigslist a few times a day and search for Lawnboy. It was listed in a garage sale as a 2cycle Lawnboy. I asked for a picture of it and dang near had to change my shorts when I saw it was a 10515 and in such great shape for $25.
Heck yea! You made out like a bandit! :thThumbsU

I second this...One of Lawnboys best.
There's one around here or $125 that I was considering. I would love to take the 1 off that number myself.

Wow! What a score. Based on what I've been seeing on ebay lately, that mower could bring 10-12X your investment price. That one looks low use based on cosmetics which are exceptional. I too like the 10515 and I just put in another 3 speed transmission in mine so back in the regular cutting rotation it goes! I don't know.... I think I might have had to double her asking price if I was the buyer. Enjoy!

I probably should have offered more but when she said she just didn't want it I paid what she asked. I may go pick up a clean 10525 to go wih my other one for $75 in the morning.

Hello johnboy1
I think that you did Real Good as the Gold series mower's with the F-style engine's were about the best Lawn-Boy mower's ever to be produced. A couple of Month's ago, I Spotted a Model 10515 on a local Craig's list in our area. The seller was asking $80.00 or best offer for it, so I called the number provided. I could tell that the seller was a Young kid who was not well versed in Lawn-Boy Mower's so I asked what his bottom line was and he said that he would take $75.00 cash for it. He said that he had been mowing lawn's with it generating some extra money and that he wanted to up-Grade to a newer mower. I did not discourage his newer mower idea as I Offered him a trade on a Dura-Force that my son in law had with a steel deck that he gave just $40.00 for. The Young Kid had heard of the Dura-Surge mower's and he was Looking for more Power so I had his Interest, but I told him that the newer Dura-Surge mower's sold for a lot more than his older Gold series Model; 10515 so I asked him what else he had to offer on a possible trade here ? He then told me that he had a Yamaha 12 string Guitar that he had been trying to sell that he could throw in on the deal if I was Interested in it ? I told him to being along with the mower and set up a time to come look at this Model 10515 Mower.

We met later in the day and he had brought with him the mower Plus the Yamaha 12 string Folk Guitar that he had been trying to sell. I accepted his Trade of the Model 10515 and the Guitar which Looked like new yet & has a value of around $150.00 and headed home with the new mower for my son in law that wanted a Gold Series mower or a commercial mower if and when I could find him one. For some Odd reason the Young Kid had removed the Muffler assembly on this Model 10515 Mower, He Probably thought it sounded cool who know's but I had it with the mower so I Put it back on it. I also noticed that it had it's kill wire sticking out into the breeze and when the Young Kid showed me how it ran I noticed that he had to ground the wire to the block to kill the engine. Not very safe in my mind, so when I looked a little closer at the mower I discovered that it was Missing it's BBC control. By Luck I had one on hand on a Spare Gold series deck that we had so I Placed it on the engine and it worked fine. The mower start's with one pull and run's Great. It has not missed a beat mowing with it the Past couple of month's until last week when it broke it's throttle slide Plastic part that commonly break's on these engine's. I had to put one on my Commercial Model 22241 mower and they always' seem to break right at the 90 Degree Portion of the Plastic throttle slide where the Throttle cable hooks into them, and to me they are a Lousy design flaw feature. They are only a couple of buck's so we will be getting one for it shortly to repair it. I feel that this Model 10515 is Just as good as my Commwercial model 22241 and the only difference that I can see between the two is that my machine has a larger remote style gas tank Mounted behind the engine where as the Model 10515 has it's in the shroud and mine has a Plastic Lawn-Boy Carburetor where as the Model 10515 has the metal Walboro on it. Here is my Son in Law's new to him Model 10515Regards, Hammerdown
