LOL!!!

Hear is what's in the bundle. I got them off of CL made a 9 hour round trip down to fuquay-varina, nc for them after being at work all day. Got home close to 3AM this morning went to work this morning and still haven't been to sleep. I don't know how this slipped by some of the more prolific hunters on CL.

Us older folks need to expand our search range to keep up with you younger fellows, I suppose. 10 years ago I would have done that, but today, I'm not so sure.

We're hopefully selling the first of our 4 Bichon pups tonight, with a garage sale this weekend, so maybe I'll have some Deere hunting scratch next week.

Gonna be real hard to top your haul!

Trust me I am paying for it now....

That extra cash is gonna burn a hole right through your pocket. :biglaugh:

When I saw the add it was already a day old so I figured somebody would have scooped it up and that I had missed out on another good deal:banghead3 , but I called just to make sure, and when the gentleman told me no one had asked about it I told him I would be there tonight to take it at his full asking price.

$100 per item......:swow: And yes that is a 54" 4-way hydraulic blade. I finally got one:fing32:

Below are some better pics.

Can some one tell me how to measure the size of the moldboard plow? This thing is huge compared to my sleeve hitch brinly that I have for the x500.

Remember the Green Mile? I'm going to start calling you Red, cause you must be Irish - you've got their luck. $100 for the blade? OMG

The moldboards are measured by the width of the share. A 10 inch would turn a 10 inch trench, 12" a 12" trench, etc.

Well I had just found another 4-way 318 blade for Theo today for cheap, but it looks like he already got one. I am half tempted to go buy it, just to sell it for a profit.:fing32:

By the way, there is a 318 for $900 for sale up in Maryland on Baltimore Craigslist.

I think both you guys need to buy a Bichon Frise for your loving wives so I can think about some tractor goodies.

I don't know much about them Bichon's, but my Labradoodle would probably toss it around the house like a rag doll.
:thThumbsU

By the way Theo, it looks like you need to revise your signature now and add all that crap to your list. ;)

Just for you Glockem...:thanku:

Hey Tanner can you post a couple of good close up pics of your mounting bracket for your 54" blade? One from the front and each side and rear (if not on the tractor) if you can? I am having a tad bit of a problem with mine as seen in the pics below. I think my tractor frame is too narrow. I might need to widen it.:biglaugh:

I think the model 15 is a 12" but not sure. Measure as D-Dogg said.

Nice haul, you lucky dog. $100 for each is a steal!!!

Theo, that is the wrong bracket for sure. My bracket is extremely tight, and fits flush on my frame on both sides. It is very hard to get onto my tractor frame, but it has to be tight to fit correctly. I am afraid that bracket you have is for a different tractor and not the 318. Even your bracket looks much different than mine in design and function. Hmmm......

Theo, that doesn't look like Irv's.

Maybe from a 400 series?

Is there a serial number?

Drake,

No serial number but I am guessing that, since these aren't factory welds that I am looking at, it was adapted to fit the 430 he said he used to own. One good thing is that the bottom bar drops right in the factory mount on my 318 its the up part that I am having the problem. Hoses are pretty stiff and need to be replaced as well. Took my measurements and will be breaking out the cutting wheel and welder again this weekend.

Thanks to both you and It230s for that plow measurement.

Just thought I would offer up an update and more pics... Had to do a little modification of the front mount on my 54" blade in order to get it to fit the 318 properly. The first pic in the series is the before shot. I tried to get it as tight as possible and over did it a bit on the first try :banghead3 but got it all corrected before it was too late.:fing32:

This is how much I actually had to remove. Approximately and inch wide strip off of each side, along with a couple of hits from the angle grinder to get it all squared and even. Also removed tabs the PO installed to keep the blade centered on the mount.
