When I start up I get a small puff of white smoke.
I checked voltage at glow plugs, seems ok.

I can smell some burning coolant when I am mowing - sometimes.

Is there a weep point on the water pump?

Any suggestions?

Could be a head gasket, but that doesn't happen very often on these machines. How many hours are on it? Yes, there's a weep hole on the bottom of the water pump; take a good look (with a good flashlight) below the water pump, at each radiator hose connection (both ends), and where the end caps meet the core on the radiator just to rule out external leakage.
