Anybody have a deck lift assembly for a 1970 sears custom 10/38"deck that is NOT frozen! I have one but can't get it working. i have tried everything i can think of and can't get it to work so i am asking if anyone has one that is not rusted or frozen and works...Thanks:praying:

try soaking the one you have in something like PB blaster

I have soaked it everyday and torched it but can not get it to slide up and down and i have hammered the crap out of it to try to free it up.....

try using a punch to tap the little piece that slides up and down

If i knew exactly how this handle works i could try it differently...The outer handle that has the pin sticking out slides up and down on the spring at the bottom so the inside of that has to be free?

its basically a spring loaded sleeve.. so the two sleeves are probably rusted together
