X 530 with 48" deck::
My height adjustment knob is set at 3 1/4" and my blades from flat level surface are 2 5/8"
Should I raise the blades with the "T" handle to make them the same as my height adjustment?
I have had a time with this deck
Thanks for any help

I wouldn't get concerned over a number on a scale! Look at your lawn, if it looks too short to you, raise deck, if OK leave it as is, if too long lower deck! It's REALLY that simple. Bob

I agree, what's most important is that the deck is level and it's cutting flat and parallel to the ground.

My X500's 48" deck has been set at 3.75 inches with a true cut height of about 3.25 since new. Cuts well and even. I've always used a block under the blades to set it up correctly. In my opinion, no sense in messing with it just to line up to a decal on the dial.

This simple solution has solved my problem. Thanks for the help. I did learn something from this. The manual stated when measuring the center blade front to back while blade is pointing to the front, the front should measure a little lower in the back.
Thanks again for the help
