When I had issues with one. I stuck it in a chest freezer for 24 hours. Two hits with a hammer and it fell apart. My other plan was to put it in the shop press.
BR, try the heat and freezer trick. One of them has to work. If not, bring it over and we can put it in the shop press and apply heat to the pulley to see if that works.
I also upped the hammer I was using. I risked the chance of breaking something. HOUSEHOLD6 said the deutz ( **** thing - her words ) would cut grass this year or be gone before Christmas.
Needless to say tools went flying and I mowed the yard with it
One other method I found on the web was to apply the heat to one side of the pulley and on the other side rub the was from a candle. As the wax melts it wicks down around the shaft as it moves towards the heat and will lubricate it making it easier to remove.
I have only had to do this once as heat followed by quenching has always worked for me in the past but I had a pulley on a hydro pump that would not come off for anything until I used the candle method.
We have been thinking of setting up a hive or two.
Have you seen the new hives with the automatic drains for the honey?
Kind of pricey but very nice and a lot less work.
I was ready to cut the pulley right off the shaft when I read about the wax trick. It worked but I did have to do a lot of hammering. I did not want to put on too much heat and destroy the o-rings and oil seals in the hydrop pump.
Old saying, fools and their money soon part.
If you don't want to do any work just find a bee keeper and have them place hives on your property and take rent in honey.
I would not take a whole box car load of those hives for free, and neither would most experienced bee keepers.
