Does anyone here has a Cyclone Rake mounted onto a 300/400/500 series tractor? I'm building a leaf vac that uses a similar caster system to the CR but not sure how they mount them. This will be going on my 520H and maybe my dads 416H. If anyone has one could you post/send me some pics of the mounting system?
Thanks,
Brad

Here`s a copy of the page from my parts manual for my Cyclone Rake. Hope this what your looking for shows caster wheel and it mount. These caster are very heavy duty more then you`ll find in tractor supply. In fact the bearing look something like pillow block bearing, that how heavy duty they are. Maybe due to the fact that the caster wheel can be removed from the frame for storage. If you haven`t bought caster wheels yet get the ones with a grease fitting, they will last longer.

Thanks! Thats exactly what I was looking for. I was planning on using the rear quick attach and having the tow hitch just to set the height.
There was just no way I was going to put that much side load on the tow hitch!

I already had some cheap casters laying around, I like the ones CR uses but haven't been able to find anything that heavy for sale. If this works like I want it to I'm going to be looking for some heavier casters for it.

:thanku:

I was at Tractor Supply looking for a cast wheel setup for my walk behind leaf blower I saw a good size set that had grease fitting on the wheels and at the pivot point where the flange bolts to the trailer, so they should last longer. The ones on the cyclone rake are sealed bearing.

The thing with wood lawn is they wont sell you parts if you don`t own one of there cyclone rakes. I guess that way they can cut down on people and companies cloning their product. I see where DR country home products doesn't sell a vacuum trailer with caster wheels any more, probably due to owner not watching what there are doing when turning and hitting something and having the plastic box blow open and leaves blowing all over the place.

I`ve only seen closeouts of there older vacuum trailer at clearance prices which are still higher then the CR. That must be funny watching someone that shouldn't ever be mowing their lawn with a tractor hit some poor tree with the DR vacuum trailer. I bet they sent it right back, and wanted their money back.

Here`s the 12" caster wheel at TSC

Thats actually what I'm using right now, but I doubt they'll hold up long. The swivel bearings are open (although there is a grease port) and the wheel bearings are not really sealed and aren't greasable. If the ones on there now hold up through this season, providing I get it done in time, I'll look into getting something better for sure.
