We had my slab for my 30X30 garage poured on Monday and was wanting to know the best way & when to wet cure concrete, I hope I didnt start to late. I waited 2 days after the pour, I've got the lawn sprinkler on it now, and been spraying water for about 12hrs per day. Did I start to late? and am I doing any good? or am I just wasting water? I know nothing about concrete curing just what I've read online. when the water dries on the concrete now its pretty white not like the gray it was the day of the pour. Thanks for any suggestions or comments.

If during the two days you waited it was hot and sunny it didnt do the slab any good not keeping it moist/damp, that's probably why it's white now when it dries.
Concrete is strongest when it cures slowly not loosing its moisture quickly down into the subgrade or evaporating in the sun shine.
Keep it moist as best as you can without wasting water and it should be fine.

I prefer to pour cement on a wet, compacted rock base and then cover it with a layer of straw, burlap or other material as soon as it kicks off and you can walk on it. Usually very shortly after the finish troweling. I keep it wet for at least seven days for a 4" pour.

Like has been said, two days after the pour is better than nothing but kind of a late start. I'd not let it dry for a few more days.

Just my opinion and I could be wrong.
