I have a 2006 Cub Cadet LT 1045, that the belt has fallen off the last 3 times I mowed. Today when I put it back on, and went back to mowing the PTO engages but then as I start to mow the PTO sounds like it's not engaged, but when I lift the deck up it kicks in on high and then start to cut grass no matter how high I have the deck its like the PTO is off. Any suggestions?

Is the belt slipping off at the PTO pulley? You may need to look at the tensioner located on the cutting deck also to see what's going on.

I think there was a recall on the spring for the tensioner on the 06 models. Check with your dealer.
