I'd try carbon dating. It looks old

IH wide frame 42-inch Blade and IH QA42A snow thrower QA(quick Attach) A stands for adjustable Meaning it can be used on either a Wide frame or Narrow Frame Cub Cadet
Narrow Frames were Made 1961 till 1971 The Thrower will fit from the 1971 Until 1997 Standard Garden tractors(but Not Super Garden tractors Made 1979 till 1997) The Blade again will fit standard Garden tractor from 1971 till 1997 and with a different sub frame will fit all Cub Cadet Garden tractor 1961 to 1971![]()
Blade and Blower will fit On the Cub Cadet 1100 as an 1100 is a wide frame, it just Has a Different drive-train shaft drive from engine to right angle gear box Belt to Peerless Transmission . The 800 is Probably a Better tractor The 1100 also have a different Hitch Plate and You Have to use a IH 3poin Point with some extra Brackets which sometime can be hard to find. I always want a Blade as I don't just use a Blade for snow , The Blades are great for spreading material such as Mulch, Dirt & GravelWow thank you so much for the info ! Definitely helpful. I would like to switch up the mounting on the blade to fit a 1100 project we currently have in the shop. Are the blowers for these tractors anything desirable? It came in a package deal with the blade but I do not have much interest in keeping it. Everything appears to be there for it n seems to be in working order. Will definitely test run it prior to sale but I’m unaware of the value or average sale price ???
