I have a cub cadet 1250 project I have had for several years now. I am going to build the tractor into an all around workhorse for garden work this summer. The plan is a rebuilt k301, upgraded steering, and a spindle upgrade.
My main concern is the transmission. I have moved several times since owning this tractor and had to manually push it onto several trailers and into several shops. I would guess I’ve pushed it 150 yards over the last several years. I am really concerned that all this pushing has ruined the pump. I really would hate to build the tractor then not have it move.
Does anybody know of replacement or rebuilt pumps? I would be willing to pay for a rebuild or attempt it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Rob

I would say a maximum of 2.5mph and I did push them down each time. Although they do not even spring back anymore once depressed. I did try to move the tractor before I pulled the engine and the transmission wouldn’t engage- this was probably 3 years ago. Might as well try and see what happens! I will probably start a build thread for it.
